Jan 2008 Oak Island, Nova Scotia - Since the Triton Alliance stopped digging due to legal issues, the Oak Island mystery has been stagnant and awaiting fresh blood. The owner of the privately owned island has now agreed to let Havet Research, a newly formed group of people, to do one final dig before the island is turned over to Oak Island Tours Inc.

They are backed by Donald Gennaro, a retired lawyer, who has taken an interest into the Oak Island mystery.

Havet plans to begin digging in late April.
