Apr 2008 Oak Island, Nova Scotia – The Havet Research team which is currently working on the infamous Money Pit has fallen victim to a grim tragedy. It appears that the pit has claimed another life, the seventh to date.

Kirk Crandon, a grad student from Cal. Tech. that was working on the expedition with Havet, fell to his death after the soil near the edge of the pit caved in.

The family of Mr. Crandon has been contacted and the team shall be abandoning the expedition after a helicopter extracts them late Monday.

Donald Gennaro, the financial backer behind the dig, comments “I feel a great loss, a member of our team; a friend is lost to us. I hope that such a death will not be in vain, and that the team will continue on in his name.”
